SMCF aims to promote the welfare of children in disadvantaged urban Ethiopian communities through supporting community-led projects and by raising awareness in the UK. We work in close partnership with Ethiopian organisations to achieve our aim.

Our Approach

SMCF believes that long-lasting change in Ethiopia can only take place if communities are enabled to take control of their day-to-day lives. SMCF and JeCCDO have, over the past twenty years, developed a community-centred approach that ensures the well-being of orphan and vulnerable children and the communities they live in.
