Adult education
JeCCDO does not only provide educational opportunities to orphan children in Awassa. Five nights a week it runs educational sessions for adults, the majority of whom have never been to school and are functionally illiterate. Come rain or fair weather the classes are always full, such is the determination of people to benefit from the opportunity of learning how to read and write. The classes also provide an opportunity for people to discuss topical issues such as HIV/Aids and issues relating to their community.
