The Library
JeCCDO has built and run a public library in Dire Dawa.
The library was formerly a bar which contributed little but noise and problems for the local neighbourhood. JeCCDO decided to put the building to better use, and set up the library and provides ongoing support. Books are out of the financial reach of most people Ethiopia and therefore the library is a treasured resource. It is housed in an attractive building where people can come and learn in comfort
The library will soon be handed over to the Addis Alem Community Association ( the association for the local area) to run.
